TERMS + CONDITIONS

By booking a makeup service with Margaret Macpherson Beauty and its subcontractors or affiliates, you are agreeing to adhere to, abide by and accept these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully so you understand your obligations, and ours. 

TERMS + CONDITIONS

  • You may pay for your Margaret Macpherson Beauty services and Pragma Beauty products by the methods detailed below. In some instances, Margaret Macpherson Beauty reserves the right to request that payment for any services it provides be made in full upfront, prior to the date of the services being provided. This will be required in cases where bookings haven been changed or made with short notice, or in various other circumstances. Please note that Pragma Beauty product purchases must be paid in full and up front before goods are released.

  • Payment Options:

                   Mobile EFTPOS (Debit Cards and Visa, MasterCard, Bankcard);

                   Bank Deposit (payment must be received at the date specified by Margaret Macpherson Beauty, prior to the service or lesson);

                   Cash

  • Due to the high demand Margaret Macpherson Beauty has for bookings, we require a non-refundable booking fee to secure your wedding date, wedding trial date, special occasion booking and the 1-on-1 makeup lesson. If we book you in for a makeup, it means we cannot book other clients. If you proceed with your appointment, this booking fee will be deducted from the full cost of the service/ lesson.

  • If you cancel your booking, the booking fee is non-refundable because to secure your preferred date, we are like to have turned away other business. If we cancel your booking, we will refund the booking fee.

  • Required booking fees are as follows:

              Wedding Date Booking Fee: $150 to secure your wedding date;

                 Wedding Trial Booking Fee: $50 to secure your trial date;

              Special Occassion Booking Fee: $50 to secure your date and time;

              Makeup Lesson Booking Fee: $50 to secure your date and time;

                 Photoshoot Booking Fee: 50% of the cost of the photoshoot, to secure your date and time.

 

PLEASE NOTE: if we have not received this booking fee within 7 days of you advising that you wish to proceed with our services, your date/time will not be guaranteed and we may re-book services without notice to you.

  • If there is a balance due to be paid, the balance of the cost of the Wedding Makeup is payable at least 7 days before the date of the Wedding. The balance of the cost of the Makeup Service, Lesson or Photoshoot is payable on the day of the makeup service, unless otherwise agreed in writing between you and Margaret Macpherson Beauty.

  • Specifically with reference to weddings, if you cancel our services with less than 2 months notice, you will be required to pay the balance of the wedding in full. If you have already paid in full, this payment will be retained for the inconvenience of late cancellations and loss of other wedding or other business.

  • All bookings are subject to availability, and if you have a particular date in mind, we suggest you book early to avoid disappointment.

  • Our quoted prices are subject to change without notice, all quotes are valid for 7 days.

  • Booking a makeup application can be made up to one day before if places are still available. The booking is fully secure upon email confirmation of payment of a deposit and/ or confirmation email.

  • Travel costs are included in the per person rate, unless it is more than 30kms from Brisbane, or as otherwise negotiated and are charged on a calculation based on time and kilometres. Please contact us for a detailed quote, standard rates are $0.72 per km. The cost of parking may also be referred to the client, depending on circumstances.

  • Margaret Macpherson Beauty is available for interstate and overseas Makeup Services, please complete the quote form for further information.

  • A surcharge of $50 per half hour, applies for a before 7:30am start.

  • If you wish to reschedule or cancel your trial or makeup service, you must provide at least 5 days notice. If you cancel with less than 5 days notice, a cancellation fee amounting to 50% of the full cost of your service or quote, is payable and must be paid within 3 days of your cancellation, or we will retain your deposit/ booking fee, and you may need to pay the full price to book with us again.

  • If you do not show up to your appointment, without prior notice to Margaret Macpherson Beauty, the full fee of your service must be paid within 3 days of your cancellation and you forfeit your deposit/ booking fee.

  • If you are running late, please advise us with as much notice as possible. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your appointment, depending upon other client bookings.

  • Margaret Macpherson Beauty may refuse to provide makeup services to anyone, at anytime, at our sole discretion.

  • By engaging Margaret Macpherson Beauty for makeup services you grant permission to Margaret Macpherson Beauty to use any images taken of you, either professional or by the artist involved, and provide consent to use the images on social media, our website or in any other marketing materials. You can opt out of this at the time of the service if you wish. 

  • If you have very sensitive skin, or a known allergy to makeup ingredients, you are required to inform Margaret Macpherson Beauty of this prior to the makeup services commencing.

  • All clients (including bridal party and group bookings) must advise Margaret Macpherson Beauty any contagious, bacterial, viral or other illness, skin condition, or eye condition, prior to any makeup services commencing. This includes, but is not limited to, conjunctivitis, cysts, cold sores, heroes simplex, eye sties, open wounds or cuts, bacterial or viral skin infections or conditions, golden staph or any other contagious illnesses or conditions.

RETURNS POLICY 
We believe in providing a fair and reasonable returns policy to our customers. The Pragma Beauty returns policy applies to all purchases made from the Pragma Beauty website only. The Pragma Beauty returns policy does not exclude or replace your rights given under the Australian Consumer Law. Please Note: Due to hygiene, products opened cannot be refunded. 

CHANGE OF MIND 

If you change your mind or ordered the wrong item, simply return the item to us within 7 days of receiving and we will gladly offer you a refund or store credit provided that:

  • Satisfactory proof of purchase is provided; and

  • The item is returned to us in its original packaging; and

  • Is in a saleable condition (unopened, unused and in the original pristine condition); and

  • Is not part of the exclusions list (see below)

ALLERGIC REACTION 

If your eyes or skin become irritated or shows signs of an allergic reaction, stop using the product immediately. The Face Purifier Cleansing Cloth is made using a soft microfibres, if any irritation occurs, wash with plently of water.

EXCLUSIONS 

Please choose carefully as we do not normally offer an exchange or refund on the items listed below unless the item is faulty, significantly different from what was shown or where otherwise required by law;

  • Products that have been opened or used

  • Gift with purchase items

RETURNS

In the first instance, you must email us to explain the nature of your return. If approved you will be provided with Return Authority Number (RAN) which must be included with the returned item along with proof of purchase and send to:

We strongly recommend posting your return item using a trackable service. Pragma Beauty will not be held liable if your item is lost or stolen during transit. Upon receipt of a returned item, a Pragma Beauty representative will contact you to complete the returns process.

 

If a refund is offered, the original purchase price less a $5.00 administration fee will be refunded to the original payment method. Pragma Beauty will not reimburse postage costs for returned items unless the item is faulty.

SHIPPING 

Postage within Australia can change without notice from being a set fee or at times free.

 

  • Free standard shipping within Australia on all orders.

  • Express postage is also available within Australia for a flat fee of $15.00. Please select this option at checkout. 

  • Orders received prior to 1 pm AEST on business days for in-stock items are usually processed and dispatched within 24 hours, or within two days of purchase for busy periods.

  • Orders received after 1 pm or on weekends or public holidays will be shipped on the next business day. If we experience any delays in processing your order we will contact you by email or phone.

  • Customers located in regional Australia should allow an additional time for delivery. We use Australia Post for domestic postage with ETA as per their website delivery timeframes. We will do whatever we can to assist locate your products but once they are dispatched, we’re limited to how much we can help.

POST INSURANCE 
Unfortunately, we cannot take responsibility for any loss or damage caused in transit. If a parcel is lost, please contact us and we’ll do our best to assist but we are not liable for parcels going missing due to the postal service.

INTERNATIONAL POSTAGE 

The Face Purifier is sold domestically in Australia only. If you would love to try this product, please email hello@pragmabeauty.com.au and we can custom an order for you. Typical overseas postage is around $20 (pending exact location).

 

Import duty and customs
Most countries charge import duty tax for goods purchases from overseas. The amount you have to pay often depends on the value of the goods and the customs laws of your country.

Please ensure you are aware if there are any customs fees or taxes charged on merchandise over a certain value when importing merchandise into your country. Our prices do not include customs fees and the customer is responsible for any charges that may be applied by your country. In any instance where an order is not collected from customs within the required time and the merchandise is sent back to us, a refund will not be given.
