Thank you for using Margaret Macpherson Beauty makeup services + products. Please read through all our terms + conditions so that you are fully aware of our rights when booking in for make up and hair services.

Booking with us signifies you agree with our terms and conditions.


  • For mobile work, a minimum call out fee is three make up applications or two make up applications and one hairstyling, otherwise or single bookings are held at Margaret's boutique studio located in St Kilda East. 

  • Pricelist is updated yearly and is subject to change without notice.

  • Margaret Macpherson Beauty books on a first come, first reserved basis. Appointment dates/times are not held or secured without a 50% deposit.  When agreeing to booking a time and date, your deposit must be paid within 48 hours. 

  • Margaret Macpherson Beauty requires information on whether the client has allergies. A consultation form is mandatory for all clients to fill in. In no event shall Margaret Macpherson Beauty have any liability for incidental, or consequential damages however characterised, for example eczema, sensitive skin and eyes, hayfever, etc.

  • Margaret Macpherson Beauty reserves the right to take photographic or film records of any of our make-up applications, and may use any such photographs for promotional and/or commercial purposes - only with your consent, of course.

  • Due to OHS reasons, client to refrain from smoking in enclosed place of where Margaret Macpherson Beauty is working.

  • Late fees may apply if client is running 15 minutes late or longer. A $25 fee will apply for every 15 minutes if you are running late or there is a possibility your appointment will be cancelled with no refunds on your retainer.

  • For group bookings, please ensure all clients are ready to go for their appointments. Margaret Macpherson Beauty writes up a call sheet to allocate enough time per person to be ready by time given by client so it is important to adhere to the call sheet so clients are ready in a timely manner.




  • All services will require a 50% non refundable deposit which is non transferable of agreed amount within 48 hours of confirming booking (unless medical emergency or family emergency where proof will need to be provided) retainer to secure your appointment to be made via bank deposit. This will be deducted from the total owing for your wedding/event date.

  • When paying your deposit via bank deposit, please put in description your name and date of booking. For example: Margaret 170219

  • The wedding/event date booking is not secure until a 50% deposit is paid within 48 hours. In some cases, for bridal services, the deposit will need to be paid before the trial to secure your date especially during peak season.

  • Holding date deposits are non refundable/non transferrable after 5 days.

  • Final payment of your invoice is due 14 days prior to your wedding/event date via bank deposit, or the remainder can be paid on the day in cash or card prior to commencing services.

  • All card payments will incur a 2.5% surcharge of total cost.

  • Booking dates for public holidays or their associated weekend including Melbourne cup, Labour day, etc will incur a public holiday surcharge of $50.



  • An early call out fee of $50 every half hour will apply for bookings starting at 6AM or earlier.

  • A minimum of $50.00 call out fee applies for any mobile service. Travel charges of $0.79 per km also apply for any mobile service exceeding 20km from St Kilda East, Victoria 3183. Margaret Macpherson Beauty will confirm your total travel cost when confirming your booking.

  • Where car parking is restricted, it is your responsibility to arrange parking or incur the cost of any parking fees.

  • Margaret Macpherson Beauty is available for interstate and overseas weddings, flights and accomodation must be paid for. Enquire within for more info.


  • Any reductions in the booked number of people for your wedding/event date will still need to be paid in full if less than two months notice is given. If your booking is for an event only, less than two weeks notice will require full payment.

  • Please notify me if location changes as soon as possible. This may result in a revised quote due to travel fees, early call out fee, etc. If this is the case, I will send you a revised quote.

  • After your bridal trial, we are not obliged to secure your wedding date without a 50% retainer and we are not obliged to notify you if we no longer have capacity on your wedding day/event date.

  • We reserve the right to terminate your booking if at any time for any reason including the day of the event if it is due to client(s)/client’s representatives behavior, actions or inactions that causes distress to the artist. Aggressive behavior, rude or obnoxious behavior will not be tolerated by the artist or sub contractor.

RETURNS POLICY (for Pragma Beauty only)
We believe in providing a fair and reasonable returns policy to our customers. The Pragma Beauty Returns Policy applies to all purchases made from the Pragma Beauty website only. The Pragma Beauty returns policy does not exclude or replace your rights given under the Australian Consumer Law. 
Please Note: Due to hygiene, products opened cannot be refunded. 


CHANGE OF MIND (for Pragma Beauty only)

If you change your mind or ordered the wrong item, simply return the item to us within 10 days of receiving and we will gladly offer you a refund or store credit provided that:

  • Satisfactory Proof of Purchase is provided; and

  • The item is returned to us in its original packaging; and

  • Is in a saleable condition (unopened, unused and in the original pristine condition); and

  • Is not part of the exclusions list (see below)

ALLERGIC REACTION (for Pragma Beauty only)

If your eyes or skin become irritated or shows signs of an allergic reaction, stop using the product immediately. The Face Purifier is made using a soft Microfibre, if any irration occurs, wash with plently of water.


EXCLUSIONS (for Pragma Beauty only)

Please choose carefully as we do not normally offer an exchange or refund on the items listed below unless the item is faulty, significantly different from what was shown or where otherwise required by law;

  • Products that have been opened or used

  • Gift with purchase items


RETURNS (for Pragma Beauty only)

In the first instance, you must email us to explain the nature of your return. If approved you will be provided with Return Authority Number (RAN) which must be included with the returned item along with Proof of Purchase and send to:

We strongly recommend posting your return item using a trackable service. Pragma Beauty will not be held liable if your item is lost or stolen during transit. Upon receipt of a returned item, a Pragma Beauty representative will contact you to complete the returns process.


If a refund is offered, the original purchase price less a $5.00 administration fee will be refunded to the original payment method. Pragma Beauty will not reimburse postage costs for returned items unless the item is faulty.

DOMESTIC SHIPPING (for Pragma Beauty only)

Postage within Australia can change without notice from being a set fee or at times free.


For standed shipping, it is $7 Australia wide or free for orders over $55.

Express postage is also available within Australia for a flat fee. Please select this option at checkout. This is $16.

Orders received prior to 1 pm AEST on business days for in-stock items are usually processed and dispatched within 24 hours, or within two days of purchase for busy periods.

Orders received after 1 pm or on weekends or public holidays will be shipped on the next business day. If we experience any delays in processing your order we will contact you by email or phone.

Customers located in regional Australia should allow an additional time for delivery. We use Australia Post for domestic postage with ETA as per their website delivery timeframes. We will do whatever we can to assist locate your products but once they are dispatched, we’re limited to how much we can help.


INSURANCE (for Pragma Beauty only)
Unfortunately, we cannot take responsibility for any loss or damage caused in transit. If a parcel is lost, please contact us and we’ll do our best to assist but we are not liable for parcels going missing due to the postal service.


INTERNATIONAL POSTAGE (for Pragma Beauty only)

The Face Furifier is sold domestically in Australia only. If you would love to try this product, please email hello@pragmabeauty.com.au and we can custom an order for you. Typical overseas postage is around $16 (pending exact location).


Import duty and customs
Most countries charge import duty tax for goods purchases from overseas. The amount you have to pay often depends on the value of the goods and the customs laws of your country.

Please ensure you are aware if there are any customs fees or taxes charged on merchandise over a certain value when importing merchandise into your country. Our prices do not include customs fees and the customer is responsible for any charges that may be applied by your country. In any instance where an order is not collected from customs within the required time and the merchandise is sent back to us, a refund will not be given.
